A day in the life of a Clockworker

A day in the life of a Clockworker

Kagiso has been looking for a full time position ever since he left high school. Unable to find it, he explores the concept of the PowerShift. Planning his working day the night before, he logs onto his Clockwork application and begins scanning the abundance of working opportunities. He is keen to start early as he wants to wrap up at 5 to go and watch the big game. He first applies for a removal job starting at 6:30am the next morning and receives it within hours. Bingo! His previous experience and promising reviews from other removals using Clockwork clearly gave him that cutting edge.

KG knows his strengths lie in construction. Checking his leaderboards page, he sees he is currently the 11th best construction worker in his area. A driven and ambitious character, there is nothing he wants more than top spot and knows this will present some amazing opportunities. There is only one way to move up that ladder, so he switches to his job categories page and starts scrolling through the many construction roles available. His schedule currently takes him through until 9am, so a 9:30 start would be ideal. Applying for a brick-laying role which will take him through until lunchtime, he sees he is currently lying 4th on the shortlist. Holding thumbs but remaining realistic, he decides to apply for a window cleaning role instead. Straight away, he is accepted and his schedule is updated.

The following day, Kagiso has just completed his first job and Clocks out with his employer. Within minutes, he experiences his favourite part of the shift. An SMS notifying him of his payment straight into his bank account. On his way to his next job, he stops off to grab breakfast and realises he could sneak a quick shift in before heading home for the game. He searches gardening positions to diversify his day, applying for a short afternoon job. By mid-morning, he has been accepted and his schedule for the day is complete.

3 different jobs and 7 hours of work later, Kagiso has received more than he would during a 12 hour day in a full time position. With his extra time and money, his afternoon can be spent cheering on his team with a well-earned glass of his favourite brew!
